It’s the end of the month and it is time to withdraw your income from your Paypal’s account, bank in your Clickbank‘s and Amazon’s cheque and counting your Adsense money at the Western Union‘s branch nearby. However, you shouldn’t be surprised if you find your income well below your expectation. Don’t even think that Google or Clickbank are trying to cheat you because they’re not. Something else is happening and I bet you are actually aware of it.
While we are happy to see the progress made by our country through the 1Malaysia Prime Minister, the effect of strong ringgit can be felt by local online marketers and of course the Malaysian exporters. With ringgit going strong and staying at 3.31 to USD1, online marketers are set to lose some of their income through currency exchange. Last year, the ringgit was somewhere at 3.80 compare to USD 1. So, for every USD 100 that you make from your online business, you will get aorund RM 380. If you make USD 1000, then you’ll get about RM 3800.
