Happy New Year! It feels like I wrote my blog posting for New Year 2009 just yesterday and here we are ready to wave goodbye to another year of our lives. I still remember I was busy preparing for the arrival of my 5th child 12 months ago as my wife who faced pregnancy complications safely delivered our baby 5 days later. It was one of the highlights in 2009 for us and certainly our most joyous moment. Many thanks to all warm wishers in this blog and I’m glad some of them are still finding time to drop by this blog from time to time. Thank you very much.
2010 will mark my 3rd year as a blogger as this blog enter its second year in blogosphere. As a blogger I know that I still have much to learn and I am determined to improve myself and come up with better quality and useful postings in the future. I’m glad that this year my wife is joining me writing on blogs ending a 2 year sojourn from blogging after just a few postings in 2007. I always feel that she is a better writer than me and I hope the world will acknowledge that. Feel free to visit her blog here: Organic Splendour . Come on dear, you deserve some recognition. (She firmly protests, of course, and is always assisted by the interruptions of Baby Roq who eagerly insists on lending his baby fingers for free typing services).

According to doctor’s calculation my baby is expected to be delivered on 22 nd January 2009. However, due to some complications (Read Here), he will make his first appearance in this world earlier than the doctor had predicted. Having gone through several medical check-ups, my wife was set for caesarean on 9th January 2009. But the baby had other ideas!
My wife told me she had bleedings this morning. Therefore, she had to undergo the operation today as delays will harm both the baby and the mother, unless of course if the bleeding stop. The doctor then decided to do it at FIVE pm this FIFTH of January 2009 and I’m was so nervous to know that my FIFTH child will be born today.

My wife is currently on 33rd week of pregnancy and is not expected to give birth until January next year. However, complication on her pregnancy this time might push forward the delivery date and the baby might born sooner rather than later. Doctors have identified the problem, which is in medical term known as Placenta Previa – a condition where the placenta lies low in the uterus and partially or completely covers the cervix. The placenta may separate from the uterine wall as the cervix begins to dilate (open) during labor. I have spent the last several weeks reading on this topic and I would like to share it with my readers. Hopefully, it can be a useful infromation for everyone.
