Well Done
As a bowler myself, I’m pleased to see that Malaysia are producing top class bowlers at senior and youth lavel. I’m still over the moon with Shalin’s breakthrough achivement of having qualified playing in the Women PBA tour and Zulmazran splendid performances in AMF World Cup recently. So, my face was all smiling to hear that our youths are doing well as well at the Commonwealth Ten Pin Bowling Championship in Belfest.:-
“Youngster Sin Li Jane emerged as the women’s Masters champion in the Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Cham-pionships to prove her status as one of the most successful bowlers from the national back-up squad.
On Sunday, the 16-year-old became the youngest Malaysian to win the Commonwealth women’s Masters title at the Ice Bowl in Belfast. In the best-of-three games stepladder final, she defeated World Championships Masters silver medallist Jazreel Tan of Singapore 258-188, 211-269, 202-156.
With her superb efforts on the final day, Malaysia emerged as the overall champions with a medal haul of 4-3-3. The other two other gold medals were won by 20-year-old debutant Mohd Nur Aiman Khairuddin from the singles and All-Events. Aiman also proved that he was ready to challenge the big guns. Except for the Masters, where he finished fourth, Aiman had won a medal in every other event. He also set two new championship records” – The Star Online
Well done. We are proud with your achivements.

hahsahha……..
as fas as I’am concerned, I have no talent in bowling!
Setakat nak sedekah kan duit semata2 kat pusat bowling, bolehlah……
hahaha….
but my eldest kid (5 years old) fonded in bowling…….hmmmm
Ismail N:
Actually sport perlukan No. 1 Minat Dulu, which can only be developed by playing with expert or people with knowledge of the sport itself. Kalau main2 gitu aje, lama-lama jadi bored & give up. Ha ha. So, the Q whether u have talent or not dlm boling masih terbuka.
Anak suka main boling? 5 tahun? Wow, that’s a good age to start training the next world champion.

I’m only good in badminton. Poor thing is my dad did not give me support in badminton 100% when I was a kid. He knew that I could play since I was little but chose to put me in a better grade. Fate?
Ismail N: Come on Faisal. I’m sure your dad is fully supportive but like many others they will put academic first. I love sport very much and I would like to see my sons become a sportman one day. But, that must not be achived at the expense of education. Parents will look education as sort of insurance to their child when everything that they go for have failed.
Maybe, you don’t have proper people to guide you on how to achive your ambitions without sacrificing your education. Lot of children have this problem. Me included. I left my school football team at the age of 13 having decided that my couch is not fit enough to couch the school team. How arrogant!
Then again, I got nobody to guide me. Yg kasi api-api banyak lah. Ha ha.

Hi hi……memang tie ni tak pandai bowling.
Cuma tahu pegang sudip dan kuali je….
Tapi, gak…bangga juga bila ada yang mengharumkan nama malaysia…
Ismail N: He he.. takkan tak ada sport yg minat kot? bola jaring?

The same thing happen to my cousin. He played hockey, soccer and sepak takraw for Penang and quit because his daddy wanted him to continue and focus on study. Now, he is not doing good in academic too. Too bad that he could not shine in sport as there was no support from the dad. I thought he could be a Malaysian player in any of the games he played, but I was wrong.
Ismail N:
I once wrote that sport should be included as sylbus in school. Read it here: http://malaysiannewsblog.whizz.net.in/?p=55. I think it the best way to identify young talents and ensure that they will be guided properly through out their early career.

My Blog is created to provide an avenue for the parents of youth bowlers and those who have the passion for the game in Selangor Malaysia, to voice their frank and personal opinion, suggestion and experiences on the Youth Development in Tenpin Bowling, currently being handled by the State Bowling Association.

I think the basic drawback of using ASP.Net on this blog is that it sorta slows down the processing unlike PHP. Just what i’ve found.
