This Will Drive You Crazy!!!!!
Ok, some of you might have read this before. But for those who yet to stumble into this crazy maths. riddle, you might want to test how good is your mathematic. This is challenging and fun. Try solve the riddle below.
3 men go into a hotel. The man behind the desk told them that the room is RM 30. So each man pay RM 10 and went to the room. A while later, the man behind the desk realise that the room is only RM 25. So he send the Bellboy to the guys’ room with RM 5. On the way, the Bellboy can’t figure out how to split RM 5 evenly between 3 men. So he give each man RM 1and keep the other RM 2 for himself.
This mean that the 3 men paid RM 9 (RM 10 – RM 1) each for the room, which in total are RM 27. If we add another RM 2 ( with the Bellboy), the total is RM 29. So, where is another RM 1?

Hmmm…kalau RM30 tolak RM3 pun jawapan RM27 gak..tambah RM2 jadi RM29! Eh! tak tahu la. Buat pening je. Ada sapa2 genius tak??

haha trick dia masa budak tu ambik rm2 then dia pegi tolak dengan setiap org byr tuh.
actually kalau kira balik, room price still rm25 + rm5 dia bagi kat bellboy tu dah rm30 gak. 3 org tu patut dpt rm5 gak. tak kira la dorang nak bahagi mcm mana. 25 + 5 still rm30 kan?
budak tu curik rm2 + rm3 dia kasi tu rm5 gak kan? campor balik dengan rm25 tuh for the room price jadik rm30 plak.
cuma mindset kita kira tolak dan darab tuh. trick yg bagus

Good puzzle. The mistake is in saying the men paid 9 RM (10 – 1), which is an incorrect step in math (or computer programming). They paid ten, and then received 1 back.
This kind of thinking messes up people when they start to learn CS or programming, and it’s a hard habit to break.
