Short Written Judgement

I have a friend who is currently waiting for his appeal at High Court since 2005. He was charged with CBT and is currently suspended without pay until he is acquitted by the court of law. I sympathize with him and he is currently doing business while waiting for his trial to resume, which till now, is still unclear when.

There are many reasons why cases are pending at the court. One of the reasons is delay tactics by either party. Anwar Ibrahim’s case would spring to mind, I’m sure. It could also be because DPP is unprepared or not sure whether to continue the case due to new developments. But the most common reason is that the judge failed to prepare the written judgement which needs to be referred to during appeal. Some have even been transferred to other states or district, making it almost impossible to request a written judgment from him/her.

Contract Made In Germany

The following event, took place in Stuttgart, Germany.
Fact of the case: Demitrius Soupolos and his former beauty queen wife, Traute, wanted a child badly but he was told by the doctor that he is sterile. So, Soupolos, after calming his wife’s protest, hired his neighbor, Frank Maus to impregnate her. Since Maus is married and a father of two sons, the plan seemed good. Soupolos paid Maus $2,500 for the job and after six months and 72 attempts, he failed to impregnate Traute. That has left Soupolos baffled and so he insisted that Maus be medically examined.

Maus did the examination and the doctor announced that Maus is also sterile. Ouuchhh. It was a shocking result and surprised everyone except his wife who was later forced to confess that Maus was not the real father of their children. So, after learning all these, guess what Soupolos will do?
