Happy New Year 2010

fireworks 150x150 Happy New Year 2010Happy New Year! It feels like I wrote my blog posting for New Year 2009 just yesterday and here we are ready to wave goodbye to another year of our lives. I still remember I was busy preparing for the arrival of my 5th child 12 months ago as my wife who faced pregnancy complications safely delivered our baby 5 days later. It was one of the highlights in 2009 for us and certainly our most joyous moment. Many thanks to all warm wishers in this blog and I’m glad some of them are still finding time to drop by this blog from time to time. Thank you very much.

2010 will mark my 3rd year as a blogger as this blog enter its second year in blogosphere. As a blogger I know that I still have much to learn and I am determined to improve myself and come up with better quality and useful postings in the future. I’m glad that this year my wife is joining me writing on blogs ending a 2 year sojourn from blogging after just a few postings in 2007. I always feel that she is a better writer than me and I hope the world will acknowledge that. Feel free to visit her blog here: Organic Splendour . Come on dear, you deserve some recognition. (She firmly protests, of course, and is always assisted by the interruptions of Baby Roq who eagerly insists on lending his baby fingers for free typing services).

Happy Eid al-Fitr, Manchester Derby, I’m On Holidays

Holidays are coming and I’m in a mood to celebrate. It’s no coincidence that the Manchester’s derby between Man Utd and Man City will be held on the first day of Eid al-Fitr or Hari Raya Aidil Fitri as commonly known in Malaysia. I expect good news from OT to add to the joyous occasion already in store tommorrow. The feel good factor is there and I can smell city’s blood at United’s mercy. At the same time, I can’t wait to taste the delicious ‘rendang’ and ‘ketupat’ plus ‘kuih raya’ – not so often in a year that I can taste so many good food in one day. But tomorrow will be the day!

Since it’s a long holiday, I will be off for a couple of days. No blog posting, no new updates untill I get back. Comment moderation will be made via mobile phone whenever I’m free. To all my Muslim friends and readers of this blog -  I wish you all a warm Happy Eid al-Fitr. May the magic of Eid warms your world with happiness and fill your life with joy and good cheer. Maaf Zahir & Batin. Have a blessed Eid. Thank you for visiting my blog – Ismail N & Family. [M'sia Readers - Pls read by BM version as well - CLICK HERE]
